The System
With the increasing popularity of Ziconia-Oxide (ZrO2),
it is only natural that the SNF PressCeram™ family has been
extended to include a Press-To-Zirconia component. SNF PressCeram™-
Z is a system that fully utilizes the advantages of pressing to
a substructure. Just wax-up over the Zirconia-Oxide framework,
invest, burnout and press. Attaining accurate margins and increased
profitability by pressing to Zirconia is possible with SNF PressCeram™
- Z.
The Porcelain
The SNF PressCeram™-Z layering ceramic is a low
fusing (780°C) dental ceramic sinter material, used for the
production of crowns and bridges made of Zirconia-Oxide based
frameworks. The newly developed chemical composition of the primary
materials, their structure and particle distribution, guarantees
an easy, straightforward and safe application without a lengthy
cooling process. The SNF PressCeram™- Z layering ceramic
is available in a wide range of shades according to the Classical
A-D shade system. Combining translucence and opalescence allows
for aesthetic, high-quality, natural-looking results.
The Ingots
The SNF PressCeram™-Z ingots are dual-phased glass
ceramic that is pressed at approximately 900°C. The ingots
have a high density and low-wear to opposing dentition. All ingots
are used with the Stain & Glaze Technique, the Layering Technique,
or both. The ingots are fluorescent and opalescent and most are
available in 5g along with the standard 2g size. Some ingot shades
are also available in different levels of opacity.
Indications
The SNF PressCeram™-Z system is designed to press
over any type of Zirconia-Oxide material. It is ideal for: Single
Crowns, Short & Long-span Bridges, Maryland and Inlay Bridges.
Although there are great advantages to Press-To-Zirconia, the
SNF PressCeram™-Z porcelain can also be used exclusively
as a layering porcelain.
